What’s ITZY?

ITZY is JYP Entertainment’s new girl group after TWICE. ITZY consists of five talented girls they are Chaeryeong, Yeji, Ryujin, Lia and Yuna. This group is different group from another group that have been there before. ITZY name also includes the meaning of English word ‘It’ and it is used when specifying a particular object or targeting the object that you want to have. ITZY is the second girl group after JYP formed TWICE in 2015. Unlike TWICE, which often uses cute and innocent concept, ITZY is a girl group that will use the girl crush and sexy concept. They don’t have fans name because they haven’t do a debuted stage yet, they have a single song and the title is ‘DALLA DALLA’.

Itzy’s Debut

In January 20, 2019 JYP Entertainment’s youtube channel released the introduction video or prologue film of their new girl group, ITZY. In the video, they introduced the names and face of ITZY’s members there are, Yuna, Ryujin, Lia, Chaeryeong and Yeji. This group uses ‘girl crush and sexy’ concept and according to their group’s name that is different from JYP’s other group concept.

After released their prologue film, at the end of January, 2019 they released ‘DALLA DALLA’ M/V teaser and at the end of the video it reads the date of their 1st single release. A week after that, more precisely on February 6 they was released ITZY’s VOICE TEASER, and in the next day they also released ‘DALLA DALLA’ 2nd teaser. An this is their M/V teaser!

Showcase

ITZY debut showcase on February 12, 2019 but their prologue film was released on January 20, 2019. On Tuesday, February 12 they made grand debut at”IT’z Different” Showcase and aired on their official Vlive account, named ITZY. There is video of their showcase!

ITZY’s MV ‘DALLA DALLA’ released on February 10, 2019 and just a day their MV which has duration 3 minute and 47 seconds can reached 13,9 Million viewers on JYP’s Youtube. They made a new record of K-Pop girl group. Now, their music is available on Spotify with two songs in their single, “DALLA DALLA” and “WANT IT”. Reportedly, they will make their debut stage on M! Countdown and Music Bank in February, 14 and 15.
