MBLAQ’s G.O’s and Choi Ye-seul Confirmed to be Dating
On January 2nd, 2018, MBLAQ’s G.O personally confirmed that he is dating Choi Ye-seul on his Instagram account. He uploaded a photo with his girlfriend and wrote:
“This morning, a few welcome names were high on the search rankings. We were planning on personally sharing the news in the near future, so it’s unfortunate that an article was published first, but it’s okay because it’s good news. To be honest, the most unfortunate thing here is my photo that’s being used.
Though I haven’t gained a lot of fame or as much success as I wanted, I’ve gone through a lot of things for over 10 years since my debut in 2007. What I felt most that it’s very difficult to have and keep someone by my side. I felt the pressure to always be someone who is needed in work, love, and friendship, and there were so few people who recognized and accepted me for just who I was.
Time passed in such a way until I met someone when I was at my most ordinary state, and that person was Choi Ye-seul. She is someone who accepted me and has been so considerate of me so much. I am so happy. I believe that this happiness that I feel will spread to those who love me like a happy virus.

On March 14th, 2018, MBLAQ’s G.O hosted a special White Day broadcast with Choi Ye-seul on Afreeca TV. G.O began the broadcast by introducing his girlfriend to the viewers. They revealed that they have been together for 256 days that day and they met through acquaintances. They contacted each other frequently and their feelings naturally grow thus ended up dating. In the broadcast, they played a game of “ideal type world cup” and MBLAQ’s G.O gave Choi Ye-seul a black plastic bag of candy to celebrate White Day.
In the episode of MBC’s Every1’s Radio Star that was aired on July 3rd, 2018, MBLAQ’s G.O revealed that he decided to go public with their relationship because he wanted to be true to his feelings. Rather than hiding, he wanted to confidently reveal his relationship. Choi Ye-seul said that she had no issue with the revelation. She was happy instead, because she was finally able to get some public interest.
After a couple of dates after their first meeting, Choi Ye-seul revealed that MBLAQ’s G.O said to her that he could make her really happy. All she had to do was look at beautiful things, wore beautiful clothes and had beautiful thoughts. She also said that MBLAQ’s G.O had clear goals and his belief that he would achieve those goals gave her a sense of stability.
MBLAQ’s G.O’s and Choi Ye-seul Byeol Korea Marriage Plan
In the same episode of MBC’s Every1’s Radio Star, MBLAQ’s G.O and Choi Ye-seul talked about their plans about getting married. G.O said that they are dating with marriage in mind. He added that he had a lot of shortcomings and he wanted to lean on her. He thought that they were compatible with each other and that was why he wanted to get married. He revealed that they wanted to have a small wedding sometime next year. Rather than having a fancy wedding, he said that he wanted to use that money to go on a big family trip abroad.
