Hinapia’s Minkyung Talks About Pristin’s Disbandment
Through one of the MBC’s VIDEO STAR episode, Minkyung was revealed her thoughts regarding on Pristin’s disbandment since people have known that the previous group have praised her career since the first debut. Moreover, she used to think that her career with Pristin would be last for a long time because Pristin was quite popular and people were welcoming them as K-Pop idol happily.
According to her, it was like something has gone from her life when she had realized that her career with the group was over. She also went to ups and downs after Pristin was officially disbanded, but then made a breakthrough by asking the other former Pristin members who still had the same desire as her to try debut again within a new group. On that episode, Minkyung also revealed her sadness with a bunch of tears, which made the other cast member of VIDEO STAR were falling into sad emotions as well.

After several months made her debut with Hinapia, it seemed like Minkyung have to let go her career with them. On August 21, 2020, the group was officially disbanded as OSR Entertainment gave the announcement through Hinapia’s official fan cafe. Previously, Hinapia fans were started to quite suspicious with the further activities of their idol since the official links of Hinapia was started to inactive since June 2020.
Their official fan cafe also no longer active, even though usually it was one of the easiest way for Hinapia members and the fans to communicated with each other. Then the unpleasant announcement was revealed, the Hinapia group was disbanded. According to Minkyung’s statement on Instagram, she said that Hinapia members and the agency have been discussed about the decision a lot, and due to the agency internal problems, the members eventually were terminated their contract with OSR Entertainment.
Some sources also said that the group wasn’t being able to make moneys during these pandemic situation, since the entertainment industry also have to limit their activities in live show as well.
