Was Kidoh Involved In Scandal and Controversies?
Like many rap artists, Kidoh has had his name attached to some scandals and controversies, both in public and in the media. Lets examine some of the news that Kidoh has been involved with. Check out some of the stories below.
Marijuana Scandal.
What is the ‘Marijuana Scandal’? Well, apparently, Kidoh and his friend, fellow rapper, Iron were both caught up smoking marijuana together. In this case, both of them ended up being sentenced to jail time for this misdeed. Seoul Central District Court eventually sentenced Kidoh to a six month term in jail as well as a years probation for violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics.
In addition to this event, Kidoh was also caught smoking marijuana while he was at a bar in Bangkok, during his trip to that city in Thailand.
We can certainly hope that both Kidoh and his friend, Iron have learned from their mistakes, in this case.
Rape Controversy Surrounding ‘Roll’.
Another uncomfortable time for Kidoh was a due to the rape controversy surrounding his song, ‘Roll‘. Kidoh was collaborating with his mate, Iron, again, writing and composing a song with the title, Roll. Unfortunately, the lyrics of the song proved very controversial and sound very inappropriate when heard. If the lyrics are translated, they seem to indicate that the song is about the rape of a girl.
Many of Kidoh’s fans and the public in general were both surprised and offended when they first heard the song. Many people just couldn’t believe that Kidoh and Iron were singing about actually raping a girl. Eventually, bowing to all the pressure, Kidoh was forced to speak up on social media to explain. Below is what he wrote on his Twitter page:
He was apologized to people, especially his fans. Well, too bad that he was involved to sang that song, but still he was just human being who might be making mistakes, so don’t pushed him too hard, better we’re support him through his hard time!

So, what is the latest news about Kidoh? Unfortunately, because of his “misadventure” with marijuana and his eventual sentencing to jail time, as well as probation, Kidoh has been staying private and out of the spotlight.
Right after Kidoh parted ways with his group, Topp Dogg, he had planned to kick off his new career with a Solo Performance Tour of the United States. Due to the previously mentioned legal problems however, this planned tour was forced to be cancelled.
Kidoh has too many devoted fans and is much too multi-talented a performer to stay out of the spotlight for too much longer, though. Let’s all hope that his comeback comes as soon as possible!
