Yet another K-Pop concert has been postponed due to the Wuhan Virus outbreak, and this is a big one: NCT Dream. NCT Dream first announced plans to hold the concerts in Macau on February 7-8, 2020, and Singapore on February 15th, 2020. However, the concerts were postponed until further notice due to the Wuhan Virus outbreak.

According to the organizer, Dreammaker, the replacement dates of the concert will be updated to fans in the future. Full refunds will be made available in the coming days via the official ticketing site.

The organizer has released an official notice about the postponement and explained, “Due to coronavirus proliferation concerns, we are deeply sorry to announce that NCT DREAM’s TOUR THE DREAM SHOW in Singapore on February 15th, 2020, at The Star Theater, The Star Performing Arts Center has been postponed. The safety of artists, patrons, and staff is our top priority and we will continue to act on advice from the authorities on the coronavirus and take precautionary measures in line with prevention efforts. Costumers who have purchased tickets will receive a full refund through the original mode of payment. Full refund details will be made available soon. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.”

It is really another sad day for K-Pop lovers in Singapore as popular boy band Winner also joins the long list of postponed or canceled performances due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak that hit almost every country around the globe.

Winner first planned to hold a  concert on February 8th, 2020, at The Star Theater, The Star Performing Arts Center, Singapore. However, Live Nation Singapore made the announcement about the group’s concert cancelation through the Facebook page, which cited “coronavirus proliferation concerns” as the reason.

SECHSKIES’ Concert

On February 14th, 2020, YG Entertainment announced that SECHSKIES’ Seoul concert was postponed in view of the fast-paced spread of the coronavirus that has hit many countries in the world. YG Entertainment explained, “Due to concerns regarding the spread of the COVID-19, SECHSKIES’ Seoul concert from March 6th through 8th, 2020, has been canceled.”

YG Entertainment also added, “We are keeping an eye on the trend of the spread of COVID-19 and placing the safety of fans and artists as our top priority. Though we sought for preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, we made the decision to cancel the concerts in order to relieve the fear over the additional patients infected and to maintain a healthy environment.”

All tickets that have been bought by fans will be refunded without any extra fees. YG Entertainment stated that any additional changes in the concert schedules will be announced through the organizer or ticket purchasing sites.

SEVENTEEN’s World Tour Concert ODE To You

South Korean group Seventeen also canceled their world tour Ode to You due to the coronavirus outbreak. The group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced the details about the cancelation via its official Twitter account.

Pledis Entertainment explained that “Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, we have decided to cancel Seventeen’s February and March world tour in consideration of the health and safety of both artists and fans.” Regarding SEVENTEEN’s Ode to You world tour postponements, Pledis Entertainment posted the official notice on Twitter that can be read:

Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment. Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, we have decided to cancel SEVENTEEN’s world tour in February and March in consideration of the health and safety of the artist and fans. As the health and safety of the artist, audience, and staff is our top priority, we made this decision to prevent any potential harm. Thereby, we regret to inform you that the following dates for SEVENTEEN’s world tour in February and March have been canceled.

  • February 22nd, 2020 – Kuala Lumpur
  • February 29th, 2020 – Taipei
  • March 3rd, 2020 – Madrid

The canceled shows were scheduled to take place in several countries, such as Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Madrid, Paris, London, and Berlin.
