The K2 (Korean: 더 케이투; RR: Deo Keitu) is a 2016 South Korean television series starring Yoona, Ji Chang-wook, and Song Yoon-ah. It premiered on tvN every Friday and Saturday at 20:00 (KST) from September 23rd, 2016 until November 12th, 2016 for a total of 16 episodes.

The K2 is an action drama about a bodyguard who was once a war soldier referred to as K2, the wife of the presidential candidate who hired him, and a girl who lives in her own secluded world.

Yoona plays a lonely girl named Go Ahn Na, who suffers from panic disorder. She is also the hidden daughter of the presidential candidate Jang Se Joon (Jo Sung Ha) and will play an important role regarding Kim Je Ha and Choi Yoo Jin’s relationship. Ji Chang Wook will play Kim Je Ha, a former war soldier who is the JSS special bodyguard. Choi Yoo Jin (Song Yoon Ah) takes notice and hires him to be a bodyguard. For this drama, Ji Chang Wook will perform some advanced stunts and show off his charisma. Choi Yoo Jin is the wife of the winning presidential candidate and is the oldest sibling in her family in charge of the JB group. She is known to the public for being friendly, beautiful, and loving, but in reality, she is a merciless woman who won’t let anything get in her way of achieving her dreams.

The drama is written by scriptwriter Jang Hyuk-rin who wrote Yong-pal (2015) and directed by Kwak Jung-hwan of Neighborhood Hero (2016). Being depicted with a bodyguard action theme, the drama utilized various fighting techniques, including systema, taekwondo, aikido, and jujutsu for its action scenes. It became the first Korean television drama to introduce the Bullet Time effect. The first script reading was held in August 2016 at the CJ E&M Center in Seoul, South Korea. Filming began in September; some scenes of the drama were filmed in Spain.

Exit is an upcoming South Korean action comedy film directed by Lee Sang-geun, starring Yoona and Jo Jung-suk. The story is about a young, unemployed man named Yong-nam (Jo Jung-suk) who runs into a former fellow college student, Eui-joo (Yoona). The two try to escape the city that gets enveloped in a mysterious toxic gas. The film was scheduled to be released on July 31st, 2019.

A week before the screening of the film, on Saturday (07/20), Knowing Brother aired an episode that will star Yoona and Jo Jung Suk.

When Kang Ho Dong asked, “Did you come here because you wanted to show off you were filming together?” Yoona answered, “I came here because I really like Knowing Brother.”

Kang Ho Dong then said, “I heard Yoona often cried when filming the movie EXIT. Is Jo Jung Suk acting evil?” To which Heechul then added, “Is that why DO from EXO entered military service after filming the film My Annoying Brother with you?”

After having hesitated, Jo Jung Suk replied, “Is this the reason why you called me here, to treat me like this?” He was greeted by laughter from the members of Knowing Brother.

The Knowing Brother episode, starring Yoona and Jo Jung Suk, was aired on JTBC on Saturday, July 27th.
