Lee Hong-gi was born on March 2, 1990, in Gwangju, South Korea. Lee Hong-gi is a South Korean singer. He is one of the members of the popular K-pop group F.T.ISLAND. He is also an actor, songwriter, composer, writer and fashion designer.
He made his acting debut in 2002 on KBS2.

Lee Hong-gi’s Solo Album Do N Do


Lee Hong-ki made a solo comeback in October 2018. He released the mini album Do n Do with the title track titled ‘Cookies’ with BtoB’s main rapper, Jung Il-hoon. The album was released on October 18, 2018 at 18:00 KST. This comeback solo is the first since Lee Hong Gi released the album FM302 in November 2015.

The lyrics of this song were written by Lee Hong-gi along with Ilhoon and IL. The three of them also composed the song. In this album contains five songs in it, including: I AM (Feat. Cheetah), COOKIES (Feat. BTOB’s Ilhoon), COME TO ME (Feat. SF9’s Zuho), 모닥불 [Bonfire] (Feat. Dindin), YELLOW, and GOOD NIGHT.

Choi Jong-hoon did leave FT ISLAND after he was dragged into the scandal of spreading obscene photos and videos, but the group led by Lee Hong-gi didn’t stop working. In a recent interview with NYLON Korea magazine, FT ISLAND revealed what changes have taken place in the course of FT ISLAND after 13 years of work and what their latest album will look like. “What I feel through our music career is that for a band, our music will be even cooler as we get older. I think we will continue to show deeper and different layers and continue to create a new side of ourselves in the future,” explained Lee Hong-gi.

Speaking about FT ISLAND’s latest album, Zapping, Lee Hong-gi said that this album is a blend of the band’s idealism and public taste. “We think this is an album that has a great mix of music that we want to make with music that the public likes,” explained Lee Hong-gi. “This album also has elements that remind us of FT ISLAND’s music in the past. “Of course, you will also be able to hear how our music has grown until now,” he continued.

Zapping album carries the single “Quilt” which carries rock music and tells about the pain experienced by someone when parting with his lover. For fans of FT ISLAND, this album should not be missed because this will be Lee Hong-gi’s final work before he begins his military services at the end of September 2019.

Lee Hong-gi’s Concert Scheduled


Before undergoing military service, Lee Hong-ki had held his solo concert in January 2019. After the departure of FT ISLAND leader Choi Jong-hoon, FT ISLAND continued their concert without a leader.

FT ISLAND is preparing to return to the Korean audience as four members since the departure of former leader Choi Jong-hoon from FNC Entertainment. The band held a series of ‘[II]’ concerts on June 29 and 30, 2019, at the Hwajeong Gymnasium of Korea University in Seoul, South Korea. This concert took place approximately ten months after their last concert in the country, which was held in August 2018.

The name of the concert series, which is meant to be pronounced ‘pause,’ conveyed the band’s desire for their fans to take a ‘pause’ from their normal schedule to enjoy their time together at the event.
