VIXX LR Leo Ravi

Next, there are VIXX LR (빅스 LR). They are the first official subunit of the South Korean boy group VIXX. They formed by Jellyfish Entertainment on August 17th, 2015. VIXX LR consists of VIXX’s main vocalist Leo and main rapper Ravi. 

The name of VIXX LR is a combination of VIXX and the initials of the members’ stage names, with “L” for Leo and “R” for Ravi. And also stands for “left” and “right” which meant that their contrasting qualities and images created harmony when on stage. 

Their first single is “Beautiful Liar.”

On August 14th, VIXX LR announced that their second mini-album Whisper would be released on August 28th, 2017.

On January 24th, 2018, VIXX LR released their first compilation album in Japan, titled Complete LR which consists of every track from their previously released mini-albums and includes two new songs, one of which is a Japanese version of “Whisper.”


BSS Seventeen (부석순 BooSeokSoon)

On March 21st, 2018, members Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan debuted as a subgroup called BSS or “BooSeokSoon,” a nickname for the three members together. They just released their debut single “Just Do It” and enjoyed a short promotion period.

The three have previously been known as ”the gag trio,” and now that they are an official subunit of Seventeen, they still keep bringing smiles and positivity into the lives of Carats as well as everyone else listening to their music.


인피니트 H INFINITE H Dong-woo Hoya

Infinite H was the first official subunit of the South Korean boy group Infinite formed under Woollim Entertainment in 2013. The subgroup consisted of Infinite member Dongwoo and ex-Infinite member Hoya. The subunit debuted with their mini-album titled Fly High in January 2013.

They collaborated with many different artists, including various well-known hip-hop composers and rappers, such as Primary, Zion.T, Bumkey, Paloalto, Vida Loca, and more.

On January 11th, 2013, their debut extended play Fly High was officially released.

After a series of image and video teasers, the music video for the promotional track “Special Girl” was released on January 10th, 2013, on Woollim Entertainment’s official YouTube channel.

And following the music video’s release, they also performed the song and their follow up track “Without You” on M! Countdown on the same day.

And on January 26th, 2015, they released their second and final Extended Play, with the promotional track, “Pretty.”

The Extended Play consists of seven tracks in total with Hoya and Dongwoo participating in the composition of several songs on the EP.

The title track, “Fly Again,” is a dub-step song which serves as an intro track. The promotional track, “Pretty” (예뻐) is an upbeat love song about how in love they are with such a beautiful girl that they even hate it when she looks away from them. The third track, “Aren’t You Going Somewhere?” (어디안가) is a song with the influence of ’80s pop and features vocalist Yang Da Il. The fourth track, “Bump” (부딪쳐) is a song with an R&B rhythm labelmate, Lovelyz’s Su-jeong. The fifth track, “Sorry I’m Busy” (바빠서) featuring Swings and Champagne, is a song directed to their haters, with the occasional disses towards their haters in the lyrics. The sixth track, “Jekyll & Hyde” (지킬 앤 하이드) is a song with a jazz sound about post-breakup feelings and it features singer Tae-wan. The last track is “As Long as You’re Not Crazy” (니가 미치지 않고서야) and is a song about catching their lovers cheating and features Sanchez from Phantom.

INFINITE F 인피니트F Sungyeol, L dan Sungjong

There is also Infinite F, the second subunit of the South Korean boy group Infinite formed by Woollim Entertainment in 2014. The subunit consists of Infinite vocalists: Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. The subunit made their simultaneous Japanese and Korean debuts with the single albums Koi no Sign and Azure.

Infinite F was officially announced at the One Great Step Returns encore concert, held on February 28th and March 1st.

They also performed the song “Heartthrob” for the first time. The song was eventually revealed to be the main OST for the KBS drama Hi! School-Love On, starring group member Sungyeol and fellow Infinite member Woohyun.

And on October 14th, Woollim Entertainment officially announced that Infinite F will be debuting in Japan with Koi no Sign on November 19th. Koi no Sign debuted on the Oricon Weekly Chart at #6, selling 31,287 copies. The album was later released in Korean version titled Love Sign.
