EXO and Red Velvet in Hello Counselor
In April, 2015, KBS’s talk show Hello Counselor invited EXO members Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Chen, and Red Velvet’s Joy and Yeri to help the show’s panel solve people’s problems.
Because representatives from the two big groups were invited to the show, the episode itself broke the record for teen viewers, demonstrating that both groups have a large fanbase among this demographic. TNMS reported that the rating for this single episode was 6.3% and it was watched by 7.2% of Seoul’s viewers, which was 0.7% higher than the previous episode.
In this show, the idols were also asked to perform a little bit of their latest hits. Joy and Yeri performed “Ice Cream Cake”, while Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Chen performed “Call Me Baby”.
After breaking the ratings record, Red Velvet and EXO were invited to the show again, sending different members.
