On May 5th, 2021, a source from the upcoming KBS drama confirmed, “With the joining of Byun Woo-seok and Kang Mina, we have completed casting for the four lead roles.”

Byun Woo-seok plays Lee Pyo, who is tall, handsome, and talented in martial arts and fine arts, but doesn’t like books or studying. He is a crown prince who neglects his duties, and becomes an alcoholic, often sneaking out of the palace to drink illegally.

Moonshine tells the story of the lives of young people in the Joseon era when the prohibition against alcohol was in full swing. The storyline centers on the love story of illegal alcoholic nobleman Kang Ro-seo (played by Hyeri) and the principled superintendent Nam Young (played by Yoo Seung-ho).

The production staff stated, “Lee Pyo will attract viewers’ attention with his unconventional appearance as the crown prince who sneaks out of the palace for forbidden drinks.”

Moonshine Behind The Scene Byeon Woo-seok And Hyeri

Ahead of Episode 2 airing, Moonshine shared an interesting leaked scene. Not with Yoo Seung-ho, this time the production team revealed the interaction between Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Byeon Woo-seok.

Earlier in the first episode, Kang Ro-seo was frustrated because his older brother Kang Hae-soo (played by Bae Yoo-ram) had his family in huge debt. Not knowing how to pay such a large sum of money, Kang Ro-seo happened to come to a secret pub selling moonshine (illegal alcohol) and witness a new world. Then secretly, she began to make alcohol that could make her a living.

Kang Ro-seo and Geum Yi (played by Seo Ye-hwa) are dressed as men to disguise themselves when selling liquor. They are in a beautiful flower garden with crown prince Lee Pyo (played by Byeon Woo-seok) who becomes a customer.

Byun Woo-seok shows how Lee Pyo disguises himself as a wealthy nobleman to go drinking. He wore beautiful clothes and displayed charm and authority, but was only truly happy when he drank.

Previously, Lee Pyo and Kang Ro-seo had met at a secret pub without knowing the prince’s real identity. Against the backdrop of the beautiful scenery, Lee Pyo, Kang Ro-seo, and Geum Yi smiled brightly. The three of them exuded a fresh, youthful aura.

In the picture above, Lee Pyo is seen sipping Kang Ro-seo’s moonshine and seems satisfied with his transaction of the night. Viewers are increasingly curious how Lee Pyo and Kang Ro-seo’s relationship will affect the storyline.

Along with the trailer, the production team leaked, “Ro-seo transforms into moonshine seller in earnest. Please pay a lot of attention to the transformation of moonshine seller Ro-seo and Geum Yi. Please look forward to how Ro-seo and Lee Pyo’s backgrounds meet again.”

Moonshine Behind The Scene Byeon Woo-seok And Kang Mina

Kang Mina plays Han Ae-jin, the beloved only daughter of a high-ranking noble family. She grew up being carefully cultivated like a flower, eating only selected foods and wearing only selected clothes.

Her biggest dream is to find a handsome husband. Her attitude towards life is, “There are many things I want in the world, but since I can’t have them all, I want the pleasures of living with a husband with a handsome face.” The production staff stated, “Han Ae-jin’s brightness and uncertainty add depth to the drama.”

In Moonshine, Lee Pyo is the crown prince who is tall, handsome, talented in martial arts and fine arts but doesn’t like studying and is addicted to alcohol. There is also Han Ae-jin (played by Kang Mina), the only daughter of a noble family who grows like a flower and is cared for as well as possible.

Previously, Nam Young and Lee Pyo went to Girigak to protect Kang Ro-seo. After much difficulty, they managed to save the girl and had a happy time. At the same time, Han Ae-jin struggles to find Lee Pyo which raises the curiosity of how their love story will continue in the future.

In the latest trailer release, the four characters have an interesting encounter in the marketplace. Nam Young shows an ambiguous face that makes viewers wonder if he is jealous because Lee Pyo seems to be with Kang Ro-seo.

On the other hand, Han Ae-jin was seen wide-eyed in surprise and covered her mouth with her hand. One of the photos shows them watching Lee Pyo and Kang Ro-seo. They hastily hide behind colorful clothes to spy on Lee Pyo and Kang Ro-seo with confused looks.

Kang Ro-seo herself stopped walking when her eyes caught the figures of Nam Young and Han Ae-jin side by side. Kang Ro-seo flashed bored eyes to Nam Young and Han Ae-jin, while Lee Pyo smiled his trademark casual smile. What will the four young men do after that?
